Previously having worked at The Dorsey under the previous Lead Bartender, Juyoung Kang, who he considers his mentor, Hosaka caught the attention of higher-ups, who recognized a spark in him and a passion for elevating the customer experience that led to his promotion at Rosina and Electra. Electra completed the trinity that is The Cocktail Collective, comprised of the sophisticated Dorsey, and the romantic Rosina. In less than one-year Hosaka was yet again promoted to lead bartender at Electra Cocktail Club, a playful and energetic bar at the center of The Palazzo casino floor. After a year, Hosaka was promoted to the role of lead bartender at Rosina inside The Palazzo, an intimate and beautiful bar known for celebrating the classics – where he used his love of the craft, meaningful social interaction, and his respect and admiration for his colleagues to deliver the best cocktails and service for his guests. In late 2016, he was part of the team that opened The Dorsey inside The Venetian, the resort’s first of three bar that make up The Cocktail Collective. He got his start at the infamous Wolfgang Puck’s Spago at The Forum Shops, and shortly after made his way to The Venetian. In 2015, Hosaka moved to Las Vegas to further foster his career in the food and beverage industry. It was in the Bay Area that he knew he wanted to work in the beverage industry and worked his way up the ladder from bar back to bartender – having always been at the right place, at the right time. With nearly a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Hosaka quickly garnered a love for the service trade having worked from everything from doorman to mixologist in prestigious cities such as Waikiki, Portland, San Francisco and now Las Vegas.Ī native of Oahu, Hawaii, Hosaka knew he wanted to leave the island from a young age and after a brief stint in Portland, settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he tended bar at a variety of acclaimed restaurants and nightlife hotspots including Pacific Catch, Cocina Central, and Oceano Hotel and Spa.
